MSS Sets & Track

For the perfect introduction into live steam garden railways our sets have everything you need to get going (except water and matches!) and make ideal and affordable gifts for anyone that has always wanted a real steam train in the garden.

We want as many people as possible to experience the joys of live steam garden railways. But we know in these times that every penny counts. So we have added to our range of sets giving you even more savings and greater value for money.

We have put together different combinations of sets based upon customer requests that give as much value as possible. Each set has everything you need to get going in this wonderful hobby and add that little extra special feature to you garden.

To extend your set extra track in the form of 12" straight and curved track pieces are also available individually and in boxes of 8. For a more interesting layout left and right points are sold individually and as part of a passing loop kit.

For the keen modeller we also have the Starter Sets available in self-assembly kits. All the parts are finished ready for assembly using only simple nuts and bolts - no soldering required.

Available in four colours in 32mm O gauge. Each Starter Set Kit includes all the parts to make one MSS Side Tank Locomotive and Tender, 16 pieces of curved track and 4 pieces of straight track (enough to make an oval 7ft x 5ft), a box of solid fuel tablets, funnel, coupling hook and full instructions.

The black MSS lock together track and points are made from a durable cast metal, which is weather proof and ideal for leaving in position in your garden ready to run your trains.

The MSS track is only available in 32mm (O gauge), therefore if you buy a 45mm loco or rolling stock you will need 45mm (G45) track, which is available under out Peco range.

The Passing Loop Kit is ideal for running two trains or as a station stop. This kit includes 1 left hand point, 1 right hand point, 2 curved and 4 straight pieces of track.
